This Thai rolled oolong, comes from a cultivar called Ching Shin, and here is mixed with the osmanthus flowers' perfume. The osmanthus is a plant that we find in plantations, whose flowers are harvested twice a year and then mixed with tea.
The flowers will slightly and subtly strengthen the natural floral character of this oolong.
This oolong comes from the Mae Salong Nok plantation in the famous "Golden Triangle". At an altitude of 1500m, it's one of the plantations protected by the "Royal Project Foundation".
The "Royal Project Foundation", a non-profit organisation, has been created in 1970 by His Majesty Bhumibol Adulyadej, King of Thailand.
The objectives of this organisation are to fight against deforestation, the opium production, and the poverty, by integrating socially and economically the exiled tribes from Laos, Burma and China, settled in the mountains in Northern Thailand.
